Every meaningful journey begins with a question. The journey of Posana began when Brity George asked a personal and profound question:
Why does education so often feel transactional, when it should be deeply transformative?
As a passionate educator with over 18 years of experience, Brity witnessed firsthand how traditional classrooms left many learners behind measuring success in grades, rather than growth. She believed that true teaching begins with empathy, where one lesson can unlock potential, one word of encouragement can build confidence and one mentor’s care can change the trajectory of a life.
From this belief, Posana Institute of Knowledge was born. Founded in June 2020 and established in February 2021, the services began as an online tutoring platform in Bangalore. Posana is rooted in the philosophy of “Teaching from the heart to shape lives.”
In June 2025, we moved to Trivandrum and expanded our services to include both online and offline tutoring. More than just an institute, Posana Institute of Knowledge is a movement committed to learner-centered education - empowering individuals to discover their voice, embrace their strengths and step confidently into their future.
Now entering its fourth year, Posana continues to redefine what education can be: personal, purposeful and profoundly empowering. At Posana, learners grow academically, personally and emotionally preparing them to be well-equipped working professionals. Posana continues to uphold the belief that education is most impactful when it touches hearts, inspires minds and empowers individuals to realize their fullest potential.
Brity is a dedicated teacher and passionate about fostering learner-centered education through innovative methods. With over 18 years of experience in education and leadership, Brity puts learners at the center of her teaching. This passion, shaped by her global perspective from an early education in Doha, is backed by powerful credentials, including a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Information Systems Management and a Master of Science in Information Technology.
Brity’s career uniquely spans both the corporate IT sector and academic institutions across Kerala, Bangalore and Europe. Since 2005, she has been teaching students offline in colleges as well as online through platforms like TeacherOn and UrbanPro. She has a rare dual expertise, having served as a faculty member for both Computer Engineering and Spoken English at prominent institutions in Trivandrum and Ernakulam.
Her background in administration and international admissions gives her a comprehensive understanding of the student journey, ensuring a supportive and insightful learning experience for every learner.
Her experience at MobMe Wireless Solutions, a technology company, deeply shaped her perspective, where she had the opportunity to observe the structured and innovative leadership of its co-founders, Sanjay Vijayakumar and Sony Joy. The company, initially founded at the Technopark Incubation Centre, went on to inspire several other technological ventures.
Sanjay is the Chairman and CEO of Pupilfirst. He also works with the leadership team at All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) while Sony Joy has headed the Truecaller Enterprise Business at Truecaller. Sony has also founded the mobile payment app, Chillr and Network Effect Labs. They both have led multiple successful startups in the telecom and fintech sectors.
This exposure to such visionary entrepreneurs deeply influenced her outlook and ultimately inspired her to establish Posana Institute of Knowledge, driven by the belief that structured innovation and heartfelt teaching can transform lives.
